I get paid to daydream, to sit at my computer and write down stories. I can’t wait to read your stories, too.
— Jackie French, Patron

Braidwood Lions Club members are delighted to announce that the Young Writers Festival will be held again during 2022.

First held in 2018 and then again in 2020 this Festival is a significant event on our community and school calendar.

Renowned author Jackie French has again agreed to be Patron and our Judges for this year will be  - Robyn Goodwin, Cate Whittle, Harry Laing, Andrew Daddo, Julian Davies and Roger McDonald.

All school aged children living within the 2622 postcode are eligible to become involved.

This is a great opportunity for students to interact with renowned authors and maybe to get their work included in the book that Braidwood Lions will publish at the end of the Festival. There are also good cash prizes on offer.

See below for entry forms and terms and conditions.

Entries will close on 24 June 2022.

The award ceremony will be held in Braidwood in late November 2022
